Identification: the 18 NCO Photo Assessment (see link above) identifies this NCO as 10579 Waddicor. However a subsequent photo of this soldier provided by Simon Butterfield from an album prepared by Lt Hobkirk identified this soldier as 10063 Murnaghan. The provenance of an album prepared by Lt Hobkirk clearly takes precedence over markings in the Book of Honour. The identification of this soldier following the NCO Assessment relies entirely on the placement of the dagger reference mark (indicating not present) being placed against Murnaghan rather than Waddicor. There is a simple and likely error (of which there are many) in the Book of Honour that would explain this discrepancy (see below). With this minor amendment the BofH and 18th NCO Assessment would align.
This means that the soldier originally identified in the NCO Assessment as Waddicor is Murnaghan and the soldier originally identified as Murnaghan is Waddicor. No other identifications are affected by this:
