Basic Assumptions of the Main Project
There is a basic assumption that if a soldier is named as being present on the photograph, then he is present. This is important as it reduces the threshold of facial recognition identification from an absolute identification to 'the soldier with the highest facial resemblance level'. In practice there is generally one soldier with a resemblance level significantly higher than all the other soldiers in the photo.
This project will remain ongoing until all soldiers have been positively identified.
