17th Battalion - NCO Insignia Assessment [P054- P055]

The 17th Battalion Photo Assessment (see link above) has been able to match NCOs on the P55 NCO photo with NCOs on the platoon photos. This has enabled some identifications and/or refined identifications to '1 of 2' or '1 of 3' or '1 of 4'. This can be further refined by inspection of rank insignia, where it is possible, for example, to distinguish a CSM/CQMS from a Sergeant or Lance-Sergeant. 

The inspections below have been applied where there are NCOs of different rank and not when NCOs on a page group are all of the same rank.
